Its name gives respect to the Native Americans who inhabited the very ground this stone is picked from. It also describes the wide array of beautifully colored lichens on its surface. Native Paintbrush is gathered 10 miles from where I grew up. It represents staying true to your roots. Doing it the hard way. Perseverance. Durability. It's rugged and stubborn like the harsh Montana wind that the stone has survived and been strengthened by for countless years. It is sacred. It represents the necessity of respecting one’s heritage and those who came before. It’s wild. Untamed and un-reigned. Fierce but gentle.
An ode to the strong, majestic elk that brings many hunters to this great state and which for me, brings back fond memories of pursuing this animal with my dad and brother. Strength, beauty, and uniqueness. It represents an entrepreneurial spirit. It’s unorthodox but influential. Family, joy, and wonder.
Montana the Treasure State. Its beauty and wealth of natural resources is unmatched. The name pays homage to this great state and to those that originally staked a claim, eventually allowing me to do the same. This stone represents taking a risk and going for it. It’s innovative. Modern and vintage all in one. Unity.
